With Chaos Zero Nightmare releasing its brand new update patch featuring various new gamemodes, the main attraction for the update is the release of the brand new rate up 5-star character Chizuru. In this guide, we will show players how they can build the best deck for Chizuru in Chaos Zero Nightmare to maximize her potential.

Chaos Zero Nightmare Chizuru Special Lobby

Chizuru is a 5-star Void elemental character of the Psionic Class. Her playstyle revolves around inflicting the enemies with the Cursed Shackle debuff and deal as many damage hits as possible to gain the buff Will O Wisp and create special attack cards on the hand to deal damage to enemies.

Chaos Zero Nightmare Chizuru

Chizuru’s main gameplay revolves around her 3 main buffs and debuffs: Inhibit, Cursed Shackles and Will O’ Wisp.

At the start of the battle, Chizuru can impose the Inhibit buff on herself, limiting her AP usage each turn to the natural AP recovery of the game but increasing the hit count of her most important cards while lowering the cost of certain cards at the start of each turn. This means that you won’t be able to gain AP from external sources with this buff active, but you can mitigate this with Chizuru decreasing the cost of cards in hand until they are used.

Upon using certain cards, Chizuru can inflict the Cursed Shackle debuff on an enemy. This debuff will help Chizuru gain the special Will O’ Wisp Stacks whenever an attack card hits an enemy, the more hits the attack card does, the more Will O’ Wisp stacks Chizuru will gain. This Cursed Shackle debuff only lasts on an enemy and will disappear upon their defeat, requiring players to apply it again using her cards when facing another enemy.

Finally, Chizuru’s last core gimmick is her Will O’ Wisp stacks, which can be accumulated up to 5 stacks at a time. Once 5 stacks are accumulated, Chizuru will create a Shadow of the Moon Card with a Bind effect on it. Bind allows this card to merge with each other when multiple copies of it are present on the hand, and the more Shadow of The Moon Card you create with Will O’ Wisp on the hand, the more powerful the merged card will become, with higher damage modifiers and higher hit counts.

Here are an analysis of all of Chizuru’s cards and their most important Epiphanies:
